Jacob Sagel

Coach Sagel has been the wrestling coach at Berkmar for over a decade and is a Berkmar graduate. He was lucky enough to wrestle for and coach for three Hall of Fame coaches in Coach Gassman, Coach Ramos, and Coach Lancaster. He has coached numerous state placers, qualified for state duals multiple times, coached over 100 state qualifiers as individuals, and, more importantly, has developed our athletes into better human beings. His goal is to make sure that kids are better prepared for life than they were before wrestling.

Coach Krawulski is in his 9th year teaching and coaching wrestling. He has 60 state qualifiers since working at Berkmar. Coach K wrestled at Collins Hill High School and McKendree University in College. He was a State Champion and All-American in High School, and an NCWA and NCAA II All-American.

Coach O’Rear is in his fourth year with the program. He is a combat sport veteran and an actual veteran. He served nine in the U.S. Army, serving multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. His goal is to bring his experience onto the mat to improve Berkmar wrestling.

Coach Araujo is entering his third year with the program, balancing his work as a developer at Accenture with his passion for coaching. He’s an active contributor to the team’s offseason and summer training, helping wrestlers stay sharp year-round. A former Division II starter at Queens University of Charlotte in the 125-pound weight class, Coach Araujo brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to the team's success.

Coach Fineman is in his fifth year teaching at Hopkins Elementary School in the Berkmar Cluster, where his 2nd-grade son, and Kindergarten daughter both attend. He is in his first year with the high school program. He grew up in New England and is a huge New England sports fan, where he first found his love for wrestling. He rediscovered his love for the sport when his children started it, and is excited to be part of the Berkmar High School Wrestling team and help in any way that he can!
